My memory wants to believe that the first image is the loop at  
Branchville, Maryland ... the end of the 82 line.    The picture is  
old enough (pre 1949) that the track goes through  as what was a  
shuttle car that went on north and at one time went all the way to  
Laurel, Maryland, half way to Baltimore.   The Maryland lines, as the  
80 series of lines were called, were abandoned September 6, 1958,  
leaving only the 20 and 30 and 70 groups with trolley wire.

The second image looks east or southeast on Pennsylvania Avenue from  
7th toward the Capitol after Wolfson angered the politicians in the  
1955 strike and had his franchise revoked.   Note the first car is  
painted in O. Roy Chalk's D. C. Transit paint scheme.

The third image is at Glen Echo Park on the Cabin John line.   In is  
located along the Potomac River in Montgomery County northwest of  
Washington.   This line was shutdown in 1960 ending overhead wire  
operations.  The park has since reopened, I think under National Park  
Service auspices and there is a former SEPTA PCC car sitting out front.

The fourth image is back on the Maryland Lines (82) somewhere between  
Hyattsville and Branchville.

The fifth is in front of Union Station.

And it should go without saying that the sixth is on Pennsylvania  
Avenue NW in front of the Capitol.
