Not knowing the parameters of this group, I sent a quite compressed pix of the Eldora Roller Coaster. Anyone wishing a 300 DPI scan in your favorite format , just ask.
The picture was published January 3, 2007, in the "Valley-Independent", owned by the "Tribune-Review", an outgrowth of a merger many years ago of the "Monessen Independent" and the "Charleroi Mail".

The Monessen Public library has large archives of the "Monessen Independent". California University Library has a lot of "Charleroi Mail" .

The first electrical wiring at Shadygrove Park in Uniontown along the West Penn line was done by my father (b. 1886). He wired the park six bulbs in series and connected to the traction power. He said the lighting dimmed considerably when a WP car was pulling a hill.

He also did work at Eldora Park , ca. 1910, but, my brother nor I have any recollection of exactly what he did there.

As for contacting Pat Sanders Murphy, I cannot help, but, it is a great idea..
