He was a lot thinner then ... about fifty pounds thinner.    And he  
could come off 12 hours in the cab and feel like driving all the way  
to Pittsburgh instead of crashing on a mattress.   Not sure it's the  
50 additional pounds or the 40 addition years that screws up the  
lifestyle.
