[PRCo] Rogues Gallery - Swindler

The attached photograph shows our friend John Swindler on what was  
supposed to be the happiest day of his life.   His bride Carol is arm  
and arm with him at Bangor Episcopal Church in Churchtown,  
Pennsylvania.   John had been out looking for small country Episcopal  
Churches and this one fit the bill because it looked so much like an  
English parish church.   I think his mother, who was English by  
birth, approved.  Sadly, John's father, who was English by sentiment,  
was no longer living to see the union take place.
The elderly gentleman in the picture was John;s other father ...  
perhaps we could say his adopted father.   This man was instrumental  
in bringing John into the hobby.   He, like John and myself was also  
a past editor of ERA Headlights.   He was former Pittsburgh Railways  
motorman and instructor and one of the few surviving founders of the  
Pennsylvania Trolley Museum.   His name?   John Baxter.    Mrs.  
Baxter is standing on John's left.    John, in addition to being very  
much a veteran of the public transit scene, is also a military  
veteran, having risen proudly to the rank of Major in Desert Storm.
