I'd hardly call it a "claim" that 1648 was lost in the Homewood CH fire.
It's one of those indisputable facts, and supporting records exist.

Here is Hamley's response.  He claims that 1648 was lost in the
Homewood fire.   It was not in the list I published in my book ...
the only 1600 I listed was 1629.   Perhaps I'm guilty.
