You are absolutely correct Howard.   Nothing outlasts a black and  
white sliver print, properly fixed and washed and properly stored.    
It can last for a hundred years or more.   The public, however, wants  
to pay for it like they want to pay for anything else of quality.    
Can you imagine Wal*Mart selling quality 8 x 10 inch black and white  
photographs at $20 a print?
