My 10Th grade World History teacher had one of those when I was in 10Th grade (1961). All of his students (myself included) always marveled at how such a simpleton had actually completed a university course of study and obtained a teaching certificate in the State of Ohio. The 1949 Hudson was mute testament to his buying power and probably his sense of style also. Thank God the school system required the major World History courses to be taken in the 11Th and 12Th grades. This man later became PRINCIPAL of Kenmore High School in Akron, Ohio. The photo of the 1949 Hudson made me write this.
