There was an article about this place in the local paper last month.  What I
remember most about it was that he Austrians can't understand why the
Americans make such a fuss over their town name and why they insist on
having their picture taken next to the sign.  I assume that you gave them a
explicit explanation Fred!

Some of you might like the attached picture of Fred Schneider  
standing at the edge of a small Austrian town last month.   It is  
pronounced  Foo-kEEng.   It has no relation to what your evil minds  
are thinking.  It is not even translatable.   The town has been  
forced to sink the name posts in concrete because the English have  
been coming over and stealing the signs.   It was even hard to find  
the road leading to the town because that sign was also stolen.

The grass near the sign was heavily matted down from the evil British  
stopping to take pictures.   We certainly can't blame it on the ugly  
Americans, now can we.
