I would have loved to join the excursion, but had to leave Friday open in 
case of a high school football game and Saturday I had a parade and 
performance for Light Up Night in Ford City.  Believe it or not, I have now 
gone 17 straight weekends where I have had a performance somewhere and the 
upcoming weekend makes 18!  Plus I work 5 days a week and spend another 2 
nights in rehearsal.

Some of that work load is now complete as I have directed my last high 
school marching band event as of Saturday.  We marched down Fourth Avenue 
(over the K&L trolley line) and turned down Ford Street towards the location 
of the old Ford City PRR station, now marked by a clock and fountain.  I am 
retiring from the public school system in June.

And you wondered how I was going to get this back on track.
