It's great stuff Bill ...

But don't they run it awfully fast for that track?   (I know.   They  
call me Fast Freddy at PTM.   But there is good rail and then there  
is deplorable rail.)

Dan Bower puts a 5 mph slow order on rail at PTM that looks ten times  
better than that track.   The Lake Shore Electric, near the end of  
service, was running 50 mph over rail that we restrict to 5 or 10  
miles per hour!    They had ties which would crumble to sawdust.   I  
remember Harry Christenson's account about how many spikes you could  
just pull out with your fingers.
