I never cease to be amazed at how businesses have become so multi-
national in scope. Ken's first picture shows a Safeway store.
Reminds me of the day I stopped in Fort William, Scotland about lunch
time. There was McDonalds and out in front were a bunch of bikers on
Harley Davidson cycles. I allowed as how I came from Lancaster,
Pennsylvania (the Red Rose City) , 25 miles from the White Rose City
of York where there is a Harley factory. Off to the right was a
Safeway food store. Yes, Ken and Jim, same company that's
headquartered in Calfornia. One of the fundamental differences for
the English trade is that they sell nice little package in the meat
section, of beef cubes and kidneys, blister packed, all in the right
proportion for mom to take two pre rolled crusts and make a steak and
kidney pie dinner.
Now I didn't dine at McGristles ... I'm not noted for going all the
way to Scotland to get a Big Mac. Yo many other good things like
Haggis.
