The cutout in the pilot was to accommodate the deadman motor.  With no air,
they had to do it electrically.

Jim,

I like the close up detail.  You usually don't see it in rail fan photos.
Was the camera turned farther to the right?  Leonid never had the detail to
add the missing component above the pilot on the WP CE models.  The pilot
has the cut out spot in it to go around the controller (?) component, but he
never added it to the floor.  Does anyone else have a detailed photo of the
car front especially down low?
