Note the streamlined  --  PCC  --  catcher.

Note how long is the turnout  --  back axle still on point.     This 
makes the distance from point to track frog a good 45-50-feets to allow 
the car space to move away from centerline of tangent to prevent the 
swing of the back end from fowling the row of the adjacent track.     
This one is at a  *Tangent_Angle*  as is the turnout beginning the admin 
loop at SHJ but the majority of such turnouts are spiral easements which 
start at something similar to 300-ft radius for a degree or two just 
beyond the point and progressively get sharper until the desired radius 
is reached.
