Interesante  --  I sent private email to listee using URL from photo 
archives of this list and the extraneous Bracketed Number did not appear 
after that one so this would suggest that the List Software is making 
these changes.

I am using Thunderbird for a year but it is Just Very Recently where
this has happened.     The original URL from the list has  -*[1]-*
after it and the tinyurl has  *-[2]-*  after it.     Once the URL is in
the browser and you get the error message, go to the last  *-%-*  in the
URL and remove it and everything following - it will work!!

You had mentioned something about adjustments to FireFox to prevent
splitting the long urls - maybe you know something in the T-Bird
settings to prevent the odd numbering.
