Ed, Lyndon et al.,
I've increased the North Side average travel distance estimates as
follows:
6 - Brighton Road: 3 miles.
7 - Charles Street: 2 miles.
8 - Perrysville Avenue: 4 miles.
10 (West View - Bellevue), 11 (East Street) and 15 (Bellevue - West
View), which were
combined by Lougee: 4.5 miles.
12 - Evergreen Road: 4 miles.
13 - Emsworth and 14 - Avalon (combined by Lougee): 4 miles.
18 - Woods Run: 3 miles.
19 - Western Avenue: 2 miles.
20 - Rebecca Street: (left unchanged at 1.5 miles - line was 2.3 miles
long.)
21 - Fineview: 2 miles.
I also added Line 22 - Crosstown, which I omitted last time. I've used
an ATD estimate of 1
mile. This, together with the ridership (3,453,000) and revenue
car-mile (252,000)
statistics, imply almost 14 pass-mi per veh-mi. That "might" be low -
but this line was
only 1.6 miles long.
"Summary" average travel distance estimate for the North Side lines
(excluding Lines 1-5)
is 2.5 miles.
