I will try to get in touch with the guy who accompanied 4006 at the bridge. A Mr. Hamley of PTM (the keeper of the PRCo/PAT/PTM car roster) emailed me and wants to know if the ownership of 4006 has changed. I will try to get the two of them together. The car is supposed to stay in Cleveland, so ownership may have changed, especially since several Cleveland businesses seem to be willing to give support to keep it here.

I have no idea how it got here. I arrived at the bridge, like I do everytime they have a tour, and saw the car sitting outside the subway in the Cuyahoga County Engineer Office parking lot. I talked to the man who was conducting visitors through the car and have his card. I first listened to what he was saying and he was telling the crowd a lot of wrong information concerning the car. I (privately) gave him my card and told him he should call me so I could give him the real history on the car.
If it is showing in the photos, the words "BUCKEYE TROLLEY" now grace the open side of the car. For what reason I do not know.
I will get in touch with this guy and give him the information I got through Fred III and what is in Fred's book (Coast to Coast). I will then ask him how the car got to Cleveland. The guy at the bridge indicated the car had been In Columbus, OH before coming to Cleveland. BTW, the car is still at the west end of the bridge on the north side of the bridge. I guess they want to bring it inside the subway. Also, a placard outside the car listed about seven Cleveland area businesses who are "sponsoring" the car at the bridge site.
We still need to learn a lot more about what is going on with 4006.

Until this weekend, I was unaware that 4006 was in Cleveland. How'd it
happen, Herb?
I'm also seeing some unfortunate body rust...indoor storage will help a lot.

Subject: [PRCo] PATransit 4006 & Subway Tour
All the naysayers take note.....................
One of the "stars" of todays Detroit/Superior Bridge & Subway Tour was
PATransit PCC 4006. People stood in a long line for up to one-hour to get
inside the car to check it out. I waited until the subway was ready to close
at 3PM and only had to wait 15-minutes to get in.
The car is now on the west end of the Detroit/Superior Bridge. It is
scheduled to be restored then placed inside the subway, on tracks, as a
static display.
Cleveland and Pittsburgh just keep having more and more in common ;-)
