WRM is Western Railway Museum near Rio Vista, CA, not far from San
Francisco. Thought you might enjoy these photos - or the Museum people
will find some interest. I met Kevin's Dad my first Sunday in SF 30+
years ago - he is now retired but worked for Golden Gate - Kevin wasn't in
Mike's planning stages yet~!~!~!
.
Muni had 5 PCC-Like vehicles which were called Magic Carpet Cars of which
1003 is one - several had Brill trucks so that might rule them out as PCCs.
The stipulation that a PCC is a PCC because royalties are paid is what
gotthese cars in trouble -- the royalties were included in the purchase
price because the SF Charter disallowed royalty payments so for many years
itwas thought that some of these cars were not PCC. I am sure we shall
hear more on this topic here~!~!~!
.
#178 is not too far removed from #1 which Muni owns, #1 being The First Muni
Car which started New Muni Service in December of 1912 - yes, Muni will be
100-years old in 5-years but I should be gone from here~!~!~!
.
Cheeze__Whiz -- that Crandic car looks as though it could be in Iowa~!~!~!
Didn't realize they had Wind Mills up there -- wonder if that belongs
to the Museum~?~?~?
.
The last photo is just the tip of Very Long Articulated Key System Bridge
Unit which traveled across the Bay Bridge (now being seismically
retrofitted) into the Transbay Terminal in San Francisco, now under intense
planning to be rebuilt

I went to RVJ today for their annual members day. A few fellow list members
where seen lurking around the property. A good time was had by all, and I
have the pictures to prove it. Enjoy..... Kevin Sheridan
