On my visit to WRM with John Swindler a year ago, I was very concerned that
we didn't see anyone under about 50 years of age.  Their management and
rank-and-file are all in their 60s and 70s, and have been around since
shortly after the earth cooled.  Nice people all, and they do a good job,
but succession is a big issue (which they acknowledge).  All of us face this
to some extent; it's just more critical at some places than at others.

WESTERN HAS LONG BEEN ON MY LIST OF MUSEUMS WITH A SURVIVOR
