Good to know that I am right about SF traffic -- Thank You~!~! We
have traffic in SF -- mostly people getting to the freeway to go to
the East Bay or south-- affects me some on the bus but schedules are
arranged so it is not much of a problem -- traffic heading north over
Golden Gate doesn't affect me except at Van Ness. Infamous 101 is on
city streets in SF -- Van Ness to Lombard to GG Bridge. Horrible
traffic here at times and heading south to 101, but doesn't affect me as
a rule. But those using 101 or I-280 northbound intending to go to
GG bridge will probably use 19th Ave on local city streets. 101 to
I-380 to I-280 to 19th Ave to direct connection to GG bridge -- Much
Faster than 101 through downtown, but wisitor wouldn't know this
necessarily. I live on 32nd and blocks are short -- <300-feet from
nearest to nearest crosswalk! I use 19th to get to work and it is a
zip -- Usually~!~!~

Can't prove one way or another that most people do // don't leave cars
at home.
.
Gas is about 10 to 30 centavos (you know, there ain't no more cent
symbols on these here keyboards -- they were on trypewriters~!~!)
more in SF than other parts of Bay Area. Told it is considerably
cheaper in LA-LA-LAnd. Parking rates Are Extremely Reasonable and
gets the dander up on Transit Advocates. I try to fill up when south
visiting Family.

You know the cost better than me -- I donut sell nor buy same~!~!
Fast Pass good on Cables -- was good on BART WithIn SF Only,
don't know about today -- there were problems with this and it might
have been discontinued. Adult Fast Pass is $45.00/month For
UnLimited Riding -- Snoring Citizens is $10.00/month.

Don't have any opinions nor facts on why the city is so fluid.
.
My first trip out of downtown I leave at 4.55-PM -- used to be 5.00-PM
sharp until the so-called "Service Adjustments" a number of years ago
-- rarely get a seated load this trip. My 6.15-PM trip has
Historically been the heaviest. Quite often get sardine can and
sometimes pass intending passengers -- have worked this same Run it
for last dozen years. Am *_Guessing_* that this is the heaviest
trip because many come in on BART from N, S, East Bay on BART or other
transport and then ride home. This trip is lighter on Friday
apparently because many have other plans after work.
.
Since Labor Day early evening ridership is Up Considerably -- was last
couple years as well. Many Very Young Foreigners, very early 20s,
great passengers, ready and willing to pay. This should taper off
within a month -- don't know why. Post and Sutter downtown on my
route are like a race track until well after midnight and I carry light
loads after 9-PM -- 1-California about 4 blocks north is Dead where
traffic is concerned but Very Heavy Ridership until midnight -- go
figger where the peebles come from~!
