Photos of M11 with CHARLEROI displayed are known so 'Pittsburgh' would
be on there as well (possibly in photos at Dave's site but I am not
looking for it but the pic I remember is M11 pulling onto the admin back
track from 44/48~!~!) -- but the dustynation roll probably belongs to
an individual and was placed into the car for that charter -- the roll
didn't belong to 100.
.
Do we KNOW that 'Demon-Strator' and 'Pgh' were in the roll with
other Pgh destinations -- or was that a special roll all its own which
was removed and then replaced by a standard destination roll?~!~?~!
Another thing to consider, 'most' of the list members were born 1940
or later, a few earlier so we ain't going to have experience with this car.
.
Don't have any info about charters 1936 til WW2 - doubt there were many
RailFan charters during WW2 but I could Easily Be Wrong. First
Recorded PERC charter is 1946 with 1600. Thus -- how many times
was the destination sign of PCC 100 replaced in a decade and how many
times was it chartered in that time?
.
What seems curious to me is that #100 was so quickly assigned to
50-Carson, a rather non-descript line that didn't get much exposure.
It was 30-January-1937 when the first Tens were placed Into Service
(delivered 4-7-days prior) and with PRCo desire to hit discretionary
riders, one would think that 100 would circulate among the different
lines not unlike 1600 apparently did.
