That is correct. 44, 49 and 53 (nee 47) were abandoned in November 1971.
49 Arlington-Warrington began the next day.

Didn't 49 Beltzhoover also go last day of 53, which was really a renumbering
of 47?? So is March '68 a renumbering, not abandonment of rt. 47???
Then the first day of 49 Arlington-Warrington would have been the following
day in 1971??
What about 10th St. bridge service??? Wasn't that rt. 53?? Did 53 get
rerouted to Smithfield St. bridge for awhile before replacing 47?
Was away at school during this era.
