Nicely Stated -- The Above Is An Understatement And This is a Mild
Observation~!~!~!
.
Most of us come from an era when we were taught not to impose on others.
We were not allowed to sell Christmas Cards, TV Guides, Newspapers to people
we knew because they might feel obligated to respond -- we had to knock on
doors of unknowns! That teaching remains although SomeWhat
Softened~!~!~!
.
With about 40-years as PTM member I was Well Aware of the volunteer nature
of the organization, that people had many other Far More Important(~?~!~)
Obligations so I actually Feared writing and asking for any information.
But in the late 1990s, just before I joined the inet, I wrote to Ed (how he
was Singled Out for the Attack I donut remember) and asked some general
questions. Specifics about B3 trucks brought the reply: "I don't do
such exotica~!~!~!" I still have the letter (and the one answered by
Dave Hamley as a result of Ed forwarding same) and this response by Ed
still produces barrels of laughs -- I can see the twinkle in Ed's eye as
he wrote that~!~!~! I came across it just the other evening~!~!~!
.
Now when I need something I make a donation in exchange so both of us
benefit. This is just a statement of personal convictions and By No
Means does it suggest nor preach that All should do the same -- we all
know who will preach that so Be Prepared~!~!~! How anyone else organizes
his life is not my business beyond Me Wishing You and One And All the Best
that Life can Bring~!~!~!
.
I echo Mark's comments above -- THANK__You, Ed~!~!~!
.
PS -- Even though it Isn't Not Christmas, I am preparing my list (of
inquiries) and am checking it twice~!~!~!
