Thanks, Ken. Your link to the "Toonerville Trolley" cartoon appears to be
older than the colorized 1936 cartoon sent yesterday.
In the 1950's and 60's, Cy Hungerford, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's
editorial cartoonist, sometimes depicted Pittsburgh transit activities with
his version of the Toonerville Trolley.
I can't locate a copy of one of his transit cartoons right now, but attached
is a photo I took of Cy at the Pittsburgh Press Club in November, 1963 -
he's drawing a cartoon of Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev.
