On a recent trip, we were going to order glass of water and cup of coffee in a restaurant. Then we noticed that the local wine was cheaper. Easy choice.

The hotel wanted to sell bottled water for $8-9 per bottle. A nearby market sold much larger bottled water for about 70 cents. Paying for convenience can cost a lot. This has strayed very far from topic, but this city has red and white PCC cars and routes that in parts reminded me a lot of roaming around Pittsburgh in early '60s, although Pittsburgh didn't have two 'grand unions' at that time.
