Delco Suspects Nabbed After Fleeing Bank Job -- on SEPTA Trolley Car

Two alleged bank robbers are under arrest in Upper Darby.  Police say  
they tried to use a Septa trolley as their getaway vehicle.

Septa spokeswoman Jerria Williams says that two men suspected of  
robbing a Sovereign Bank branch in Media, Pa. were seen hopping on a  
Route 101 trolley for the 25-minute ride into Upper Darby.

What they didn't know is that two Septa police officers heard the  
news over their scanners, and were waiting for the two at the 69th  
Street terminal.

Williams says the suspects tried to run, but it was all over:

"We've heard of people robbing banks and robbing people on the street  
and hopping on buses, but a long ride on a trolley is a little  
different."
