The Homestead mill photo was taken on 9/21/75.
I think I've posted the attached photos before, but for newcomers to the
list:
- Grand Trunk Western 2-8-2 4070 on the P&LE opposite the USS Clairton Coke
Works, 9/20/75.
- Chessie Steam Special (Reading 4-8-4 2101) on the B&O along E. Ohio St.,
6/6/77. Taken from the 40th St. Bridge looking toward downtown.
- GTW 4070 leaving the P&LE station on 9/20/75. PCC 1704 (Burger King car)
on the Smithfield St. Bridge
All from the good old days in the 70's and 80's when steam trains visited
Pittsburgh once or twice a year.
