A few times recently I spent an little time reading newspapers from the 1950s. 1959 was particularly interesting, what with the Ft Pitt Bridge opening and the Point Bridge closing a week later in 1959, the steel strike hitting and also the East Liberty redevelopment progressing. Sometime I'll have time to read more. We'll see.
