Phil asked about a wye at the LEFT of the carbarn, not the one recently
installed at the right but not quite ready for prime time.
Yes, there will be a wye there when the balloon loop is installed between
the buildings. The new visitor center will be essentially parallel with the
Trolley Display Building (silver carbarn) and north of it. There will be a
street in between and the track will allow a mulitplicity of moves when it
is finished.
For the record, the east wye is "Redman" and the west wye will be
"Enterprise." Redman Wye has been ballasted and tamped and awaits the guard
rails. Lots of movements have been made over this track, most of which have
not resulted in derailments!

Yes, it is a wye but it is not yet officially in use because there are no
guard rails on the curves. Cars have been inched over it.
During Fair Week, Phillip, yes, parking has been allowed in the
Thepitt parking lot and we do haul fair goers to the fair. This, I
believe, has been one of the justifications for some of the federal ICTEE
money for the museum because it provides a transit service at least one week
out of the year.
There are only two loops, one at the far northern end of the line (which we
have dubbed the East Site, and which goes by the name of the farm and PRC
car stop that was there years ago McClain Stop and
now McClain Loop) and one at the far west end at Arden Mines. A
single-end car could conceivably be turned on a wye at the new carbarn but
it would be a lot more bother than taking it several blocks north to McClain
Loop.
