Hi Art

Were you the only ones waiting for the car??

Drivers/motormen tend to know their customers when service is infrequent and they have picked a particular run. They knew your mother and they knew where she was going on a Sunday morning. You were watching the trolley - you were not watching to see if your mother signaled the motorman she did not want the Charleroi car.

That's one of the problems I have when visiting small systems - getting the driver to stop at the bus stop. He knows his customers, and I'm not one of them. That's why, when I set up the appointment, I tell the manager that it's ok to let his driver's know that a stranger will ride a couple of the trips.
