There is a saying that a little learning is a dangerous thing and I
fell into the trap.

I'm guilty.

There were four (4) Diamond streets in Allegheny, East Diamond, North
Diamond, West Diamond, South Diamond. They formed the perimeters of
the park-like square that surrounded the city hall, post office,
market, and the space where the Buhl Planitarium is today. Federal
and Ohio streets crossed right in the middle. So, North Diamond and
South Diamond crossed Federal; East Diamond and West Diamond crossed
Ohio.

Learn something new every day.

I also apologize for twice misspelling Derrick's ancestor's name two
different ways. Sorry Mr. Brashear.

By the way, there is a picture ofJohn Brashear's home and optical
goods factory on page 171 of the book.
