[PRCo] One-man cars in McKeesport

Here is a lovely item about the efforts of Pittsburgh Railways to  
install one-man cars in McKeesport.

Earlier this evening I was wondering why some light lines in  
McKeesport had two-man crews later than similar lines in Pittsburgh  
and then this turned up in the route cards:

Under Route 99 Evans Avenue:

"One man car operation started on this line 11-26-28.   Resolution  
passed by McK. Council requesting removal of 1 man cars.   All cars  
were removed by 11:30 a.m. Tuesday 11-27-28 leaving line without  
service.

"December 4, 1928 One-man car service started on the line."

Looks like seven days without service was enough to convince city  
council to change their minds!  Byllesby Management won that round.
