To see the trolley tracks that exist today on Chestnut St., go Google Maps and type in "806 Chestnut Street, Pittsburgh, PA". From the flat map click on the "photo view" or the "orange man" icon and you'll see a photo of Chestnut St. just north of East Ohio St.
Use you mouse to orient the photo view to the North, and then click on the "north" arrow that overlays the street view. You can follow the street - and tracks - almost to Spring Garden Avenue where the 5-Spring Hill line went straight ahead up the hill, and 1-Spring Garden line turned right onto Spring Garden Avenue.
Google Maps' street views work in many city and suburban areas. Pittsburgh and Chicago seem to be well covered.
