[PRCo] Pittsburgh Streetcar Memories

The following is an example of some of the memories posted on the site: PAALLEGH-MEMORIES-L Archives. What I did was go into the site and in the SEARCH line simply type in the word, "streetcar." A load of "memories" came up. You could type in "trolley" and perhaps get resulting memories, as well. I used "streetcar" because that was the term I heard over and over again when the cars were still running to the East End and the North Side. We never called them "trolleys." One of the things I remember is riding the streetcar (#26?) from West Park
(McKees Rocks) to "town" and having the delay at the streetcar stop at the
bottom end of the incline so those passengers could make the transfer.. and
it was right in front of the Lawrence Paint Factory.....the odor of the
paint was AWFUL! You couldn't hold your breath long enough to avoid it.
