Some years ago I was watching a parade in Latrobe. There were a number of antique cars going by when an older fellow standing near me commented "I can remember when most of those cars were in regular use. Those seem a lot quieter than the ones I remember. Not nearly as much rattling and clanking."
And for that matter, when was the last time any of us saw the black streak of oil drippings down the middle of each lane on a haighway?
