M1 had been acquired in 1949; 3756 was acquired just before the move to
Washington County. The roster information says the sale occurred 2-11-54,
four days after the move. Don't know if we have information that reconciles
this anomaly.

Yes this is true. Charleroi reasonably close to WP; certainly closer than
Ingram isn't it. This has been mentioned a number of times on this list
(but reading the archives end to end helps the memory in this regard doesn't
it.) There is another Mr.Fairbanks photo of the car being off loaded at
Charleroi in this collection as well.

On 10-May-1953 832 was moved from Charleroi to Ingram since Charleroi would
end service by late June; wasn't M1 already purchased by the Museum and in
storage at Ingram courtesy of PRC? When was 3756 purchased? Believe the
museum had looked at possible locations along the Charleroi line for a site;
forget the details of settling on County Home. I knew of the museum 'group'
at this time but wasn't informed as to these charters. It was 07-Feb-1954
when these 3-cars ran under their own power to the Museum; PRC had to
activate the Thompsonville sub for that move. This has been mentioned
before as well. Actually, M1 was towed by 3756 as far as the Drake trestle
where it ran under its own power the rest of the way. These cars pulled
into the Shannon loop to allow revenue cars to pass. Many pictures in the
archives.
