It is interesting to note that a supposedly informed transit governing body
cannot spell Amtrak correctly on their map.

They want to seek non-profit status and use the RRTA to funnel federal and
state funds to them. How can we get rich off of the taxpayers?

Bringing it back to Pittsburgh, my wife asked me the other day when we were
in town about the former PRR bridge over the Allegheny River and that it
looked like a double deck bridge. I told her it was considered to be a way
to get the light rail line over to the stadiums & casino, but two very
expensive tunnels were chosen instead. Why are they building a light rail
line to the North Shore? Because parking is already an issue and there are
plans by the Rooneys to build another entertainment complex on more of the
parking area. Park dahntahn and then take the subway over to the stadium,
but do not build a staging area large enough to hold the number of LRV's
needed to handle the end of an event rush.

Where in the world can one move to get away from greed on the political
level? (One would never guessed I am not happy with the federal handling of
the financial mess they got us into in the first place!!)
