Here is a link to a photo of the damage across the street from the
gas explosion at 1212-1218 Reesdale St. nee Rebecca St. in November
1927. You will have to cut and paste the link back together.
The name of the cross street is misspelled. It is Fontella, not
Frontella. It is where Reesdale has the bend in it about half way
between Galveston (the Manchester Bridge) and Beaver.

If you wish to see the tanks on a map: If you google ", Historic
Pittsburgh Maps" You should find an entry marked Historic
Pittsburgh - Map Collections. Digital library pitt.edu/maps/.
Click on it. Then click on the top line ... City of Pittsburgh
Geodetic and Topgraphic Survey Maps 1923-1961. When it opens scroll
down to the locator map: 6th row down, 5th column from the left
to the right ... click on field No. 7. Then find the Reedsdale
Street ... you'll see the three round gas accumulators before the
explosion.
