We also probably had the world's biggest yellow stop sign. At the intersection of Rt 51 and (then) 31 in Rostraver Twp. Called "Death Corners", the traffic on 31 had stop signs and eventually one the size of a small billboard and lighted.
The problem was never solved until the realignment of 51 which included an over pass over 31.

  Ohio was in the late 1950s. I can remember the new red stop signs replacing
  the yellow/black ones and the really new triangle shaped "yield" signs being
  put on freeway ramps and some city streets.
