Some of you know, others don't, that I am a TRAINMAN (Volunteer, not paid)
on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad. CVSR is a real full size passenger
railroad running between Cleveland, Akron, and Canton. We run a moderate
amount of service and offer coach and first class seating plus light meal
service in dining cars and are a full partner with the US National Park
Service, Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Sunday, 4/5 I had planned on doing
two Cleveland/Akron trains, however, the snow/rain soaked ground throughout
the C.V. National Park had other ideas. See the attached photo of the "Great
Sunday Landslide". We left Cleveland and made it south to Brecksville when
the hillside gave way and blocked the tracks. That ended railroading for
Sunday.
