At first was going to say more likely Fifth Ave., but then recalled some route descriptions from 1920s/30s that didn't have the 60/70 downtown routes as nicely segrated in this area as it was during 1960s.  That is, 60s were only on Forbes and 70s on Fifth during "my era".  Not necessarily so in earlier years.  
 
But because of the way the street slopes in background, this would have been an inbound car.  The accident scene (if my guess is correct) is the reverse view of an outbound rt 68 car on Forbes.
 
 Hoping that Derrick can manage a visit to this area to see if my guess is valid.
