This is an interesting photo which gives just a glimpse of the PRC West
End circle. This was one continuous loop; outbound north of the RR
overpass, inbound on the south. Thus Routes 25, 26, as well as 23
and 31 when they were running, came inbound on W-Carson, turned
right onto Steuben, then immediately left, then left on Main and back to
W.Carson.
Routes 28, 27, and 30 (when it was a separate route) outbound turned
left at Steuben, an immediate left past the RR overpass and then right
onto Main. The 32-P&LE cars looped here to return to Smithfield
where they changed ends.
A PCC can be seen lower left inbound on Main.
Did trolleys 'ever' cross the West End Bridge? They didn't in the
1940s and later. We drove along Saw Mill and 19 all the way to
West View and possibly North Park.
