How about this view of an ex. PRC old look bus in the same series.

It's dated circa 1980, and with red stripe across front instead of 'v' design, the 'Pat bus crash' was not a PAT bus.  I was fooled by the number coincidence.  That is the PAT bus crash pix would be the right bus model and fleet number to fit within the PAT number scheme, but apparently it isn't a PAT bus crash. 

 

Looking forward to what Ed finds out this evening.
