[PRCo] Two Items Needing The Attention Of THE LIST

FIRST ITEM: For those who know of the contributions of Frank Julian
Sprague to the electric railway industry you may also know that the date of
his death was October 25, 1934. With that in mind, I would like to know if
anyone on The List is interested in another "List Get Together" similar to
the one two years ago? One weekend which matches the weekend timeline of the
last get together is the weekend of October 23/24/25, 2009. It would be
interesting to have the get together in honor of Frank J. Sprague and his
contributions to the electric railway industry, specifically Pittsburgh
Railways Company. I have been thinking of several PRCo type things that
would be of interest to be done and will certainly enlist the help of any
list members who want to help. However, first of all, is anyone interested?

SECOND ITEM: Saturday, September 5, 2009 is the final Cleveland Subway
Tour of this year. It is between 10am and 3pm. A very interesting venue and
lots of things to do and see. Also, if any members of The List would like to
see the many streetcars and interurbans stored under the Terminal Tower in
the Tower City Subway Station I will TRY TO ARRANGE for us to walk through
the parked trolleys. This would depend on the mental attitude of the GCRTA
management and Transit Police on that day. I normally have no problem with
the Transit Police inasmuch as I know so many of them. I just took the
District Director/Rail Operations to a meeting of the Cuyahoga Valley
Railroad and got him signed up as a volunteer Trainman. Therefore, I don't
think too much is preventing a walking tour of the stored cars unless World
War III breaks out between now and then. Again, I need to know if anyone
wants to see the Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Chicago cars parked on our
tracks.
