Subject: [PRCo] Re: PRC book
Philip, we may not agree on everything. We may often
agree on little. But I have found that you do read news
magazines. You are pessimistic. I guess I am too.
You said the following:
> (I hope I am wrong but I expect the economy to get
> much worse; what others say is the end to the
> recession 'could' be just a breather before more
> problems present themselves.
Mr.Schneider;
You mislabel me (I can't speak for you.) At the very beginning
of the above quote I state that "I hope I am wrong..."
this hardly makes me a pessimist does it. 'Realist' is far more
appropriate. Life has both positives and negatives doesn't it.
Recognizing the negatives is hardly pessimistic is it.
Re: PRC book:
* You defined your interest - that is fine.
* I defined an interest (after being asked) - this is just as fine.
* Anyone can define another personal interest - equally fine.
* Contents of this book 'are' strictly preference.
* It is 'not' a matter of right / wrong.
* It is 'not' a matter of agreeing / disagreeing.
I cringed when the book topic surfaced because I am very well aware
of the associated drudgery regardless of interest by the author.
I made this perfectly plain in my email yet you preach as if
no one in this world could understand the same. I myself would
not ask for a PRC book; I did respond when asked about
'preferences.'
You took my roster comments totally out of context but that seems
to be your 'MO' as I have observed before and above, again. Rosters
'are' an integral part of trolleys but not the whole; without the equipment
we lack a transit system which then cancels any and all perceived
needs for a book doesn't it.
Goodness; at 76 myself (and PRC itself as a Rwy 'gone' since 1964)
I could never surmise railfans would disappear; it is good you are here
to warn us. Don't you have a fountain of youth in the east?
Maybe you should: "Go west, young..." On second thought, please let me
cancel that charge.
'If' a PRC book is undertaken I wish the author success beyond all hope
and endless delight to all readers.
Mr.Schneider; may your 'agendas' bring you joy.
I never took photos; I don't have many trolley books. Again, at 76, and
considering the time to bring a book to market, it is highly unlikely that I
will see 'any' PRC book. Thus, please remove me from the book-list
for PRC. Thank you.
This is not pessimism, just realism isn't it.
Phil
Without a 'coast' but not a 'cause.'
PS - I only read news magazines in the doctor / dentist office,
and that just a couple times a year.
