[PRCo] Re: Pittsburgh, Four Hours Ago

I walked around the place for nearly 30 minutes before I sat at a machine.
In fact, I even had to ask a lady at the cashiers area how to begin to play.
It turned out to be a real good conversation because her brother and
sister-in-law both work for PATransit. Her brother is retired and I knew him
from Collier Division while her sister-in-law is a Route Foreman and has 20
years service. So I got some pointers on what to do in a casino and caught
up on some PAT news at the same time. Very interesting, but very "different"
is my first impression of a casino. I always have been one to pick out
detail in everything. I did note, at least on this visit, that the majority
of people playing seemed over 65 years of age and many did use canes,
walkers, or wheelchairs and had oxygen tanks attached to them. Interesting
is the type of music played. It keeps everyone just on the edge of insanity.
I guess that is supposed to make one play more games. The noise level is
extremely high on the main gaming floor, however, the music can still be
heard. This of course makes the noise level near that required to cause
permanent hearing loss. It is Pittsburgh's first casino and was built very
well and does look good. There are some very nice looking restaurants and
bars throughout the complex. I will have to try one of them some other time.
Also, concerning the photos. They look better if you hit the + (plus) sign
and view them full size. Better detail and color.
