Naw, wasn't a rough day at all. I generally don't engage in displacement. I 
just felt like I stepped on some toes and that suspicion was further 
enhanced by additional comments from others, received off-list.

Reminds me of the time, many years ago, when we were watching a television 
show with some family friends. The show took place in a town located in 
Wisconsin. I am familiar with the town, which at the time, was know for 
racial and ethnic intolerance. At that time, there were no 
African-Americans, Jews, Latinos, Asians, etc. living there. The town's 
population was almost completely White Lutherans.

The show had an African-American actor portraying a high ranking police 
official. I made the comment that in reality, there were no Blacks living in 
that town.

The knee-jerk Liberal reactionary wife immediately labeled me a racist for 
making the observation. Go figure.
