Got this just now. I know it's unlikely, but, I'm passing it along.

I was given your email addy to possibly help me. My grandfather worked
as a welder I believe and in 1927 he was hit by a drunk driver while
welding rails for PRC. Odd I know. Any how, I wrote to a Yahoo Group
and the reply came back to write you. They I believe generally deal
with newer types of things. Any how on August 9, 1927 in Wilkinsburg
Pa he was hit by the drunk driver. To verify the story I contacted the
Pittsburgh Post Gazette and received the story of this family that was
posted from 8/9/1927 until the end of the month 8/30/1927. It
describes that my grandfather Martin Lydon left his wife and 11
children (+1 was not yet born=12). Then it proceeded to tell of
contributions taken up for all of those kids by not only citizens of
the time but, all of the areas car barns. Each day a list was printed
of those contributions. What I was wanting to know is if there was any
possibility if I scanned and sent that story (which is lengthy) and it
does have
pics of wife and kids but, only one head shot of my grandfather and
no other picture is available. If there would be any way that by that
if someone in your group would have anything that old that may be able
to see him in a pic. I did notice that most of the groups i find only
have pic of the old rail cars from museums etc. Do any other records
exist? Can they be had if they are somewhere? This may sound somewhat
rambly but, I can explain it better on messenger or what ever if you
can try to help. I know it is a shot in the dark but, would appreciate
your time. thank you leeney54 at sbcglobal.net colleen
