A sticker was black, very limited, B was green, limited, for specified occupations, C was red, pretty much unlimited I think, for i.e. "war workers".
My Dad never abused the C tickets (I forget what they actually looked like). Food stamps were blue for canned goods , red for meat. We had surplus blue because Mother was a canner every summer. And you got change in cardboard blue or red tokens.
We had an acquaintance who owned a meat market. One Tnxgiving she stuffed the bird with beef , just to show off.
