Is it my turn to answer question to someone else? (:>)

Funny you should ask, Herb. Everyone at PTM should have their own copy of FM 55-21 (see final para. - which can be translated as 'guess what I found'?)

Came out of USMC basic in 1970 as a 5811, although all are considered a 0311

Transferred from 4th MP in Pgh to 4th Searchlight Btry in Harrisburg in 1973 and became a wireman/radio operator.

HHG suggested that I should go through PAARNG OCS program. Then found out that he was asst. cdr. Commissioned in 1976 as a 42 and assigned to 28th AG Co.

Assigned Cdr of 228 Hwy Control Pt. Tm in 1980 and became an 88 as primary, 42 secondary.

Transferred to 1185th TTU in Lancaster in 1983 as Tfc Mgr. Became Budget Officer in 1987 and after further schooling, MOS was 88 primary, 42 secondary, and 45 ASI. Mobilized Desert Storm Aug. 1990 and served Charleston, Wilmington, Norfolk, Rotterdam, and MOTSU as Vessel Opns Chief, Haz. Cargo Officer, Act. Chief, Fin. Mgt Office, Resource Manager, and Personnel Officer. (Which just goes to prove that 20 years experience in different MOS can be beneficial)

Transferred to 1079th GSU at FtIG in 1994 as asst. Budget Officer. Reassigned Asst. Plns and Opns Officer in DLOG. Mobilized June 1996 served as Asst. Plns and Opns Off. at Ft. Dix. Retired with 27 years spring 1997.

(is that enough abbreviations for you, Fred? (:>)

You should not have asked that question today, Herb. Spent the morning filling up another trash can with old military paperwork.

Cheers

John
