It was Bill Owens and he personally liked trackless trolleys. He was able to
extend and maintain service by purchasing coaches and hardware from
dieselized systems during the mid 1960s. Yes, he bought a new Western Flyer
in 1971. he piggybacked it on the TTC rebuilding order.
